Description
The E-Commerce Toolbox supports the Diploma of Information Technology (Website Development). It includes nine common core units, seven specialist units, and three electives. E-commerce is a growing area in the IT industry and learners are increasingly looking to develop skills in this area. The core units are common to other IT diplomas and it is therefore envisaged that RTO’s may wish to disaggregate these units to incorporate them into these other diplomas.
The Toolbox is organised around three projects. The learner will be expected to take on the role of project manager for each project. The project tasks include opportunities for the learner to collaborate with others, using chat or discussion forums. These activities have been designed with a focus on follow-up communication activities, encouraging learners to think about and participate more fully in an online community.
