Description
The Small Business Management Toolbox has been designed to support learners who may be undertaking the small business management competencies as part of a complete qualification such as Certificate IV in Business (Small Business Management).
Other learners may already be running a small business (or intending to run one) and undertaking study in small business management competencies to supplement their existing knowledge and experience.
For many of these learners the Toolbox provides an option to access learning resources at a convenient time and place.
Teachers will find the resources of the Toolbox clearly organised by competencies. The structure of the Toolbox allows for easy navigation through the components of tasks, topics, self tests, activities and additional references. Features of the Toolbox include:
- engaging, interactive activities
- multiple pathways through the resources to suit different learning and teaching styles
- a range of sample businesses which provide an authentic context in which learning can take place.
Communication is an important feature of online learning and teachers are encouraged to make use of the Discussion starters provided in the resources (in activities) as a means of initiating and encouraging collaboration of learners and the exchange of ideas.
