Description
The Inland Aquaculture Toolbox provides realistic scenarios and problem based projects for students studying units in Certificate III, IV and Diploma in the Seafood Industry Training Package (Aquaculture).
This Toolbox primarily targets learners who are farm managers or farm owners, and who require competencies to manage and/or operate an aquaculture business. However, the Toolbox also provides further study for those who have completed the Certificate II/III course and offers competencies for supervisors, technical managers and/or specialists.
The Toolbox is set in the virtual town, Kunnargin, where learners can complete projects that allow them to deal with a wide range of realistic situations. A range of authentic resources are available to help them complete these projects, including materials and resources from their own virtual farm, Still Waters Farm, resources and advice from neighbouring farmers, and information and advice from local town businesses and associations.
Learners are encouraged to use the online communication tools to discuss topics, share ideas and network with fellow learners.
