Description

This Toolbox has eight clearly defined areas each addressing a different unit of competency.

The student works with another learner, a mentor and a trainer. The design has discrete roles for all three which are well complemented by the resources provided in the Toolbox.

Because the media-communications industry is based on collaborative partnerships and team work, the resource sets out to replicate the collaborative environment of the industry as much as possible.

The Toolbox is comprised of activities and resources provided in a very structured and linear fashion. Students choose their area of interest eg. Interface design and work their way through a series of exercises or 'briefs'.

Each brief provides a context (background information), directions (what needs to be done), sources (links to resources), a network (email addresses of their fellow students, mentor and trainer), and a report (a downloadable file that is used to record work).
