Description
Welcome to Working Effectively; a practical guide to working in the Australian workplace. This Toolbox supports the Unit of Competency HCLS Working effectively in the Australian workplace.
There are two modules in Working Effectively. In Module 1 - The Australian Workplace, we look at some of the cultural features, and work conditions you’ll find in a typical Australian workplace.
In Module 2 – Communicating in the workplace, we look at some of the issues that arise when there is a cultural misunderstanding in the workplace.
The target audience for the Toolbox is CALD (Culturally and Linguistically Diverse) individuals who require advanced English language skills to access employment in an Australian context. This may also include individuals who have already commenced work in Australia, however the primary audience is migrant jobseekers who are new to the Australian labour market.
