Description
The Cybertots Toolbox immerses the learner in a virtual child care centre allowing them to experience the role of a caregiver. Through problem-based projects and communication activities they learn the skills and knowledge necessary for working in the child care profession.
The units of competency are grouped into streams, and the learner works through the material on a stream-by-stream basis (rather than unit-by-unit). This has been done primarily to match the way learners are assessed in the workplace, allowing them to follow their natural learning progression. This approach is explained more in the Teacher's guide.
The Toolbox prepares the learner for workplace assessment where they can put the skills learnt into practice.
