Description

The Competitive Global Enterprise Toolbox is set in a fictional manufacturing business called Global Enterprises. The learner will be part of the change management implementation team at Global Enterprises.

The team is set a challenge by the CEO of Global Enterprises to assist him in finding ways to improve the profitability and competitiveness of the business. The learner is supported and guided through the Toolbox by an in-house advisor – Jo who has recently completed training in implementing change in a manufacturing environment.

The Toolbox is divided into four sections reflecting some of the key issues that impact on global competitiveness:

  1. Leadership
  2. Workplace Organisation
  3. Costs
  4. Sustain

The scenario is supported by resources which provide generic information  related to each topic and to the underpinning skills or knowledge. These resources include activities, reference materials, checklists and other workplace tools and can be used independently of the Toolbox scenario to support training delivery.

There are workplace based activities throughout the Toolbox providing the learner with opportunities to apply what they learn to a real situation. Each section also has a workplace project that can be used to evidence for the learner’s portfolio.
