When you have found the right greyhound, you will have to catch her in the kennel then fit the collar and lead.

There are a few things you will need to know to accomplish this task.

  1. You need to learn how greyhounds think, so you can safely catch the greyhound.
  2. You need to be able to read greyhound body language so that you can be ready to reassure a nervous greyhound or settle an excited animal.
  3. You need to know what equipment must be used and how to fit it.

Did you know?

The greyhound is a member of the sight hound group of dogs.

Whilst they are very athletic and love to race, they are also quite happy to lay down and do nothing for most of the day.

Some people believe that they are the original "couch potato".
