PRD40101 Certificate IV in Property (Real Estate)
This Toolbox is a collection of resources, suggested learning strategies and supporting material to support online delivery of the Certificate IV in Property (Real Estate) nationally endorsed Training Package, as either a whole course or separate elements. Toolbox development is an online content development initiative within the Australian Flexible Learning Framework for the National VET System 2000-2004.
The real estate industry in Australia is vibrant and growing, providing a great range of career options and opportunities. This Toolbox offers learners the ability to complete their studies at a time and place that suits their needs. All resources required to support the learner are provided, and the course is designed to be facilitated in a way that encourages collaboration between learners to enable the sharing of resources and information and the establishment of a strong online learning community.
On entering the Toolbox, the learner assumes the role of an employee at the Virtual Realty real estate agency, situated in the heart of the fictional Blue Sky City. The activities within the course replicate the role of a real estate sales person and provide the learner with many opportunities to gain the skills and knowledge required to meet the competencies of the Training Package.
The Virtual Realty Toolbox covers 9 core units and 9 elective units from the Certificate IV in Property (Real Estate) qualification. Active learning is a key feature of this course, providing learners with options to suit their individual requirements. It is expected that the online facilitator/s take an active role in the delivery of this Toolbox.
