4. Make a recording at your school or college

2 hours later… the band have packed up and left the rehearsal rooms. You've got your recording on the memory card of the digi 4-track and are pretty pleased with the result.

Have a listen to the result of your recording.

By now, you should be familiar with the basic functions of the BOSS BR532 4-track digital recording machine. You've had a go at initialising the memory card, selecting the data type, connecting up the microphone and recording a song.

However, there are many other digital recording machines available and many schools and colleges also use analogue recording devices. It's a good idea to familiarise yourself with the different types available.

For this task you're going to have to visit your college and make a recording using their recording equipment. You are going to have to...

4.1

Find out which recording machine your RTO uses.

4.2

Go to your RTO and record a vocal track or instrument solo.

4.3

Record sound from go to woe.
