The Yarralang Story

-
The Yarralang clan has approximately 300 people from 8 main family groups. The Yarralang people were traditionally hunters and gatherers on their land. Over the years, many of the community have moved away. However, the Yarralang continue to come together on their land which is about two hours drive from the nearest capital city.

The community is led by a group of 9 elders who include Archie, Tony, Cathy & Pat. Debbie and Brendon are younger members of the community, and like you, are interested in the native title process.

View a map of the land on which the Yarralang community want to put a claim.

Learn about the native title claimant process by following the Yarralang Experience through the eyes of Debbie or Brendon.

The Yarralang Experience pages include animations which incorporate sound. Before you click 'play', please turn on your computer's speakers.
