Welcome to the Design TOOLBOX. This resource is based on the Film, Television, Radio and Multimedia Training Package. You should be familiar with the full package and how the set of competency standards forms a Certificate. This Toolbox is based on the unit of competency CUFMEM04A "Test a Multimedia Product". You should be familiar with the full competency standard. Because the media-communications industry is based on collaborative partnerships and team work, the resource sets out to replicate as much as possible the collaborative environment of the industry. The resource introduces two important people to the learning context: a buddy, who is a current learner, and a mentor who is someone currently working in film, television, radio or multimedia industries. We have divided up this Guide into a general section that lays down the general principles of the training, and then a guide to what is expected for each of the BRIEFS in terms of aims, objectives, checking, feedback and assessment. You can see the complete list of SETS and BRIEFS in the Structure for Test a Multimedia Product. The side menu bar provides easy access to each of these BRIEFS. You will also have direct access to the learner instructions or BRIEFS to understand the training from the student point of view. This is done by selecting the title of the BRIEF, and it will take you to the learner BRIEF. You can also customise any of the learner BRIEFS. You do so by selecting EDIT on the specific Learner Brief page. Please NOTE that there are a large number of excellent external online links in this resource, and these need to be checked regularly. |
