Exploring techniques: web logs


Aim:
To understand the technique of using web logs to test Internet sites.

Objective:
Set 4 is concerned with the techniques used in multimedia testing.

Web logs are used to gather a large amount of information about the user and their use of the web site. There are privacy issues in this.

The learner, by investigating the privacy policies of four web sites provided in the Sources folder, will discover the range of information the site can collect.

Check:
1. The learner has discussed the privacy policies of four web sites. 2. The learner has discussed the implications of inserting an identifying chip into each computer.
