Considering technical testing

Aim:
To understand the purpose and process in the technical testing of multimedia products.

Objective:
Although this resource is focussed on issues of usability, the learner needs to understand the process of technical testing. Technical 'bugs' may be uncovered in expert or user trials, and these need to be reported accurately - identifying where the 'bug' occured, and what consequences were observed. (Its fix will be provided by a programmer.)

The learner is required to visit the sites provided in the Sources folder and devise a technical fault Report form. They then discuss this with their mentor.

Check:
The learner has made contact with their mentor. 2. The learner has devised an appropriate
technical fault Report form.

Feedback:
Ensure that the learner has found a mentor. If not, assist them to find a suitable person.
