Defining characters

Aim:
To define all the characters of the game.

Objective:
The surface detail of the game is being specified to flesh out the structural components defined in SET 6.

The characters can be not only complex characters with highly developed personalities, but may be objects or tokens that the player plays the game through. The characters will need to relate to the narrative purpose of the game. All their features will need to be specified: their look, personality, skill and knowledge levels, needs, capacities and emotions.

Learners might be encouraged to sketch them.

Check:
The learner has defined all the characters in their game.

Feedback:
Encourage learner to do all the BRIEFS in SET 7 at the same time.

Assessment:
Unit value: 5
