Exploring game-play: the allure

Aim:
To explore games and discover what makes them so pleasurable.

Objective:
By exploring games, the learner is finding out what makes them interesting and enjoyable, and thereby they are starting to identify some of the key elements of game-play.

In this exercise, they are expected to work with their buddy; to compare notes on what games they like and dislike, and work out why some games appeal to both and others don't. They must work on their Report together. They also evaluate more deeply their most and least favourite to discover what makes the game "alluring". They are provided with a checklist to do this.

Check:
1. Learner has listed favourite and least favourite games. 2. They have worked with their buddy to swap lists and accounted for differences. 3. They have measured their games against the provided checklist.

Feedback:
Respond to learner inquiries.
