Media design and production is teamwork. The team may be full-time staff who work together in an ongoing basis, or brought together just for the duration of the project.

As you have read, you will be forming a work team to assist you in originating and developing a design concept. As part of this process you will be seeking out and forming collaborative partnerships with other students who are undertaking or have completed their training. You will need to establish a bond with the person, find common work methods and interests, and maintain these across the training period. Your choice of Buddy and other team members will be somewhat limited, but even in a workplace you may not have any control over who you work with, the team for a project may well be decided before you come on board. The broader the contacts you make the better, but remember that as much as you are seeking responses from other team members, they are seeking responses from you.

Remember, throughout the training the number of contacts and responses you make with other team members will be assessed.

In the REPORT file, complete the Profile and send it to your Trainer. This Profile will let other team members know about your experience, interests and skills.

Once you have sent your Profile, you need to complete the following:
Frame a training plan
Finding a Mentor
Keeping records
Selecting and clarifying a design brief
