What is training delivery?
The Australian Vocational Education and Training (VET) system, in conjunction with industry advisors and training organisations, has developed Training Packages to provide nationally endorsed standards and qualifications for the recognition of skills and knowledge in a specific industry.
In order to develop a training program from a specific Training Package and to allow for different modes of delivery, and furthermore adapt the training program to suit a variety of learners needs, delivery methods may vary to suit on the job, distance learning, online learning, structured delivery (off the job delivery).
In addition to meeting the delivery requirements of the program, you would need to take into account such things as:
- delivery modes
- content of delivery
- venue
- duration of training
- special needs
- quality assurance
- staff
For delivery of training to on the job learners, collaboration with employers plays an important part of the delivery process in terms of customising the program, to meet the needs of the employer and the individual learner, as consideration for the amount of time for coaching and assessment activity needs to be accounted for.
If you would like to practice creating floor plans for group delivery, try the set up the training room interaction in the Activities section of the Training Room.
