Services

We currently provide support and assistance for Toolboxes in the areas of customisation; WebCT integration; platform compatibility; and educational design issues.

Various tasks completed to date include:

1. Customisation of the HortWeb and Warehouse Toolboxes for two way integration with WebCT 3.x

2. Installation and customisation of Toolboxes on a Linux platform:

3. User forums on the delivery method of Toolboxes in an Online Environment.

This site also provides great links to generic activities and assessment activities from Toolboxes.

Helen Lynch and team are supporting Toolbox implementation in the ACT.

Helen Lynch has a background as an educator and flexible learning enthusiast in the vocational education and training and university sectors in NSW. She has worked with various companies to write competencies for a number of training packages and engage in flexible learning research. Helen, in her consulting business, has also helped private RTO’s develop elearning resources and manage AQTF requirements. Her most recent work has been in the university sector developing elearning and other resources for indigenous students.

The ACT Toolbox Champion team are keen to share their Toolbox and elearning expertise with other teachers and trainers across the ACT and hope to offer assistance in the effective use and implementation of Toolboxes in an educational environment.

Generic activities in Toolboxes

Many of the Flexible Learning Toolboxes contain learning material related to generic workplace activities such as 'communicating in the workplace' and 'occupational health and safety procedures'.

Flexible Learning Toolboxes use an authentic assessment approach where assessment activities are embedded in the learning process. We've added a page to our site to provide you with links to some examples of Toolbox assessment activities.

Tip: The Clues refer to the navigation of the Toolbox. If you are directed to page 3 of the Toolbox you might need to use the Toolbox scroll bar to see the navigation page numbers.
