Toolboxes at Net*Working 2003
The Toolboxes program involved three concurrent sessions across three rooms with thirteen sessions altogether. The program was well subscribed with most sessions having more than 15 people in attendance. In particular, the practical sessions in the Playroom were very popular. People had to stand in the doorway and share computers to participate in Play Room sessions. The Treasure Hunt activity available in the Play Room was a good initiative and many people came to the Toolboxes rooms to complete this fun activity. Overall it is estimated that approximately 200 people attended the Toolboxes three rooms across the program.
The Toolboxes presence on the Framework Exhibition Stand involved Toolbox Champions/project team being on hand during the conference to answer questions and direct people to Toolbox resources. A large screen at the Stand was used by nine of the Series 5 developers to preview their Toolboxes.

Trends in Uptake and Usage of Toolboxes
Robyn Francis: Director of Australian Training Products
Since their introduction in 1999 Toolboxes have become a part of the landscape of vocational education and training, adopted by a wide range of providers nationally. In this session Robyn, taking a national approach, examined the trends in adoption of Toolboxes as demonstrated through sales and customer responses. She demonstrated that they have been adopted not only by large TAFE and private providers, but also by large and small enterprises in their training - formal ( delivering AQF recognized qualifications ) and informal. There are some surprising results such as the uptake of Toolboxes by secondary schools, and some exciting trends in the strong sales of Toolboxes in some sectors such as community services. There are also some disappointing results, such as the slow adoption of some of the outstanding and unrecognized Equity Toolboxes.
