Toolbox content now available for downloading
The Flexible Learning Toolbox project has recently launched a repository of learning objects which trainers can download for free use with their learners.
Learning objects are small ‘chunks’ of Toolboxes which have been ‘disaggregated’ or segmented for easy download and delivery. 1200 learning objects supporting a range of industries including Automotive, Security, Infection control and Panel Beating amongst others are currently available in the repository.
Learning objects range in size with some supporting units of competency and others at task level supporting one or more performance criteria.
Lisa Wait, Toolbox project leader commented ‘All of these learning objects provide the same type of engaging e-learning found in Toolboxes. However, the great thing about the repository is you can now access content from twenty-eight different Toolboxes and many of these learning objects can be adapted for use in different industry settings. She also describes locating relevant learning objects in the repository as easy as a ‘google search’.
A useful starting point for new users is the ‘About’ section which provides instructions on how to use the repository.

For further support in using the repository contact the Toolbox Champion in your state or territory.
