Tender for Equity Toolboxes
Tenders are invited for the development of a new series of online products to support training for the following learner groups (click below to download the guidelines). Tenders close on December 11th.

Animation Toolbox wins APICTA award

We are delighted to announce that the Series 4 Animation Toolbox has won the award for the E-learning Section at the Asia Pacific National ICT Awards ceremony on Saturday November 2 at Jupiter's Casino on the Gold Coast.
The product was produced by QANTM Australia and was selected from 62 entries from all sectors of Australian education. We congratulate the QANTM team - it's a great effort!
Designing Toolboxes with Indigenous Learners
Peter Robertson of Kangan Batman TAFE
spoke at the AITAC Partners in a Learning Culture Conference on November 7
about the experience of adapting two horticulture Toolboxes for indigenous
learners, as part of the series 4 Equity Toolbox initiative.
Peter described how indigenous communities across the country had contributed ideas, voices and images to the redesign of the products.

Equity Toolboxes
The first group of Equity Toolboxes
were launched by Moira Scollay at the ANTA Equity in Practice Conference in
Melbourne on September 2. Seven products were developed to support indigenous
learners, learners with a disability, and learners with literacy and numeracy
needs. See the Toolbox Products link for details.
Tenders for a new round of Equity Toolboxes will be called for in mid-November.

Series 4 Toolboxes Launched August 20 by Minister Nelson
The Series 4 Toolboxes were launched by Dr Brendan
Nelson, Minister for Education, Science and Training on August 20, 2002 as
part of the Networking 2002 Online Conference. Dr Nelson will be featured
in a streaming video slide-cast presentation and a tour of the new Toolboxes
will allow conference participants to view the products. Samples can be seen
via the Toolbox Products link.
Provision of Mentoring Services
Tenders are invited for the provision of mentoring services to teams developing the fifth series of Toolboxes. The Tender brief is now available: TENDER NO. 02/03 - 02

What's New in 2002?
- 27 Toolboxes (13 from series 2 and 14 from series 3) were released during 2001 and can be ordered from the Australian Training Products website (or Ph: (03) 9655 0600 Fax: (03) 9639 4684).
- A Toolbox Champion in each state or territory will support Toolbox users during 2002.
- Further online product development will commence during 2002. This is expected to include a fifth series of Toolboxes. Submission details will be published on this website.
