Toolbox Champions
This is a service to assist with the technical, educational and organisational issues associated with the use of Toolboxes during 2002.
Expressions of Interest were invited from organisations able to host the service within a state or territory. Applications include the nomination of suitable individuals to lead the service in the role of Toolbox champion.

Networking 2001
The third series of Toolboxes were launched at Networking 2001 in Brisbane. The Toolbox stand was busy throughout the 3 days of the conference and the Toolbox T-shirts were prominent.
August 2001
Eighteen projects were selected for the development of Series 4 Toolboxes.
July 2001
Tenders were invited for the provision of mentoring services for the series 4 Toolboxes. Closing date was July 26th 2001.
June 2001
Tenders were invited for the provision of Content Testing Services for the series 3 Toolboxes. Closing date July 5th 2001.
Expressions of Interest were invited for the development of the fourth series of Toolboxes. Closing date 26/6/01.

Online Products to Support Training - Tenders were invited (closing April 10th) for the development of online products that support the training of indiginous learners, learners with a disability, and learners with literacy and numeracy needs.

Series 3 Toolboxes are now at the mid term stage. There have been some minor adjustments to the competencies covered and some sample sites are now accessible.

Tender for Evaluation Services - Tenders for the evaluation of the usage of the series 2 Toolboxes closed on March 23rd.

Toolbox Demonstrations - the new series 2 Toolboxes were demonstrated in all capital cities during March/April 2001. There seemed to be a lot of interest and we noted increased attendances as the weeks went by.

What other online content is available? The Online Content Development project will be broadened in 2001 to include support for the needs of several Access and Equity groups. Until now the funds have been applied mainly to Toolboxes. Expressions of interest will be advertised around March.

The Networking 2000 Showcase is still available. Some of the samples are of completed products, while others are based on an early stage of development.

The Steering Group examined the 15 proofs of concept prepared by the Series 3 teams on December 13th and has provided feedback on the amendments needed.
