WA Toolbox Champion
Services
In Western Australia, the Toolbox Champions service is provided through WestOne Services.
As the 'face' of the Toolboxes in Western Australia, WestOne will:
- provide information sessions on Toolboxes;
- provide advice about using Toolboxes in delivery;
- provide technical support;
- organise and conduct professional development activities tailored to meet the requirements of the RTO;
- mentor teams wishing to implement Toolboxes, particularly through Learnscope Projects and
- disseminate information and broker other types of support.
As part of the Toolbox Champions service we can provide customised professional development workshops for RTOs. Workshop sessions may include:
- Deconstructing Toolboxes
Workshops focusing on how to deconstruct and customise a Toolbox so that individual resources can be re-used and re-purposed to suit delivery modes and student groups. These workshops may also include installation and set-up of Toolboxes. - Using Toolboxes in delivery
Workshops focusing on delivery issues and incorporating Toolbox materials into delivery strategies. - Technical workshops
Workshops focusing on topics such as HTML, use of streaming and downloaded media and burning CD-ROMs. - Getting started online
Workshops focusing on teaching and learning online including time management, learner induction, student management issues and ensuring student online participation. - Toolboxes in a learning environment
Workshops focusing on using a learning management system such as WebCT to deliver Toolboxes online; these workshops will include use of communication and assessment tools as well as other tools selected by the practitioner.
